Dear CIE Members and Friends!
The economic situation is bad, the employment status is full of uncertainties and, worst of all, the jobs in the current market are almost non-exist. How are you, my dear fellow CIE/USA-DFW members, fate in this economy?
For years, the Board of CIE/USA-DFW Area Chapter has always wanted to figure out the best ways to provide better services to our members. Every year, a series of Technical seminars, provide members the updated information in various technical fields. Under the current job climate, the Board would like to see what can be done to provide more tangible value to our members. Since part of the objective of CIE is to facilitate professional networking, we would like to launch our first “Pizza and Buddy!” program.
“Pizza and Buddy!” program, at current stage, is to provide a forum (with free food, too), for our members, who are either engaging in job hunting, or planning on career changes. We will get together and share the information and experience on job searching lately. More specifically,
If you need someone to help you polish your resume or to find a connection in certain companies, you should come.
If you are about to graduate but don’t know if you can excel in the job market, you should come.
If you can help or have connections that you can share, then you should come.
Most importantly, if your spouse is tired of having you at home everyday picking on her/him, you definitely should come!
We will also provide updates in an upcoming job fair in November, and job postings in DFW area. Join us and let’s work together to help ourselves and our buddies through the tough time. You are welcome to bring friends, member or not, but please register so that we can plan the food better.
