2008 Chinese Youth Leadership Camp (CYLC)
at Austin College, Sherman, Texas
“The Chinese Youth Leadership Camp (CYLC) is to provide the youth a safe environment to build up friendships, cooperation, and social skills among group activities. Through the activities youth should learn self discipline and communication skills to empower them to take responsibility for their behavior. 2008 CIE/USA-DFW Math Comp/Math Fun event
at Collin County Community College, Spring Creek Campus
“Math Comp is a mathematics competition held annually. The goal of the competition is to stimulate school children's interest in mathematics and to enhance their skills in problem solving. Math Fun is another part of the event to further promote students' interest in mathematics and problem solving. The students will be provided with lots of interesting mathematics puzzles and games to broaden their critical thinking skills. While students are taking the written test, parents can attend a Parents' Seminar organized by CIE. The seminar is intended to be informative and educational for the parents. 2007 Youth English Speech Workshops & Contest

“The purpose of the Youth English Speech Contest is to foster self-confidence and promote interest in public speaking, and provide an opportunity for students to improve their speaking abilities and to recognize the best as encouragement to all. In order to help students better prepare for the contest, Texas Dragon Toastmasters club will sponsor two speech workshops prior to the contest. Experienced toastmasters will lecture in the first workshop. Students will practice their contest speeches and receive feedback in the second workshop. Students in grade 1 to grade 12 are welcome to participate. ”
