My favorite (person, animal, food, trip, class, TV program, etc.) I wish I could (fly, have more spending money, drive, speak better Chinese…etc.) If I were (a bird, a teacher, my mom, fireman, a president, etc.) Why do I have to learn (Chinese, English, Spanish, etc.) My dream The lesson(s) I learned My most rewarding (course, activity, or work) experience How to deal with peer pressure My driving experience What I think about teenage (drinking, smoking, sex, car racing, drug, etc.) Rules: There will be 2 judges in each group, each presentation will be judged by: Speech Development (20%) Structure, organization, and support material Effectiveness (15%) Achievement of purpose, interest, and reception Speech Value (15%) Ideas, logic, and original thought Delivery (30%) Physical: Appearance, eye contact, and body language Voice: dynamics and volume projection Manner: directness, assurance, and enthusiasm Language (20%) Appropriateness - to speech, purpose and audience Correctness - grammar, pronunciation, and word selection |
