| The purpose of the Youth English Speech Contest is to foster self-confidence and promote interest in public speaking, and provide an opportunity for students to improve their speaking abilities and to recognize the best as encouragement to all. In order to help students better prepare for the contest, Texas Dragon Toastmasters club will sponsor two speech workshops prior to the contest. Experienced toastmasters will lecture in the first workshop. Students will practice their contest speeches and receive feedback in the second workshop. Students in grade 1 to grade 12 are welcome to participate.
